DAY 1 – Depart for South Africa
Depart for Johannesburg, South Africa

DAY 2 – Arrive in Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg, a gold mining town, often called Gauteng – the City of Gold.The rest of the day is at leisure, to rest, relax and acclimate to your new time zone

DAY 3 – Sundowner Cruise on the Zambezi River
Attend an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager, then return to the airport for the flight to
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel. Celebrate your arrival with a sundowner cruise as you sail on the Zambezi River. Look for hippos, elephants, and buffalo that come to drink at the water edge. Dinner together is at the hotel.

DAY 4 – Guided Tour of Victoria Falls, Royal Livingstone Express
This morning guided tour of Victoria Falls, * in both Zambia and Zimbabwe, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, begins with a walk through the rainforest. View the cataracts, named after Queen Victoria, and a wide variety of wildlife, and plants. Afternoon is at leisure. Tonight, board a restored steam train for a journey along one of the historic railway lines in Africa. Savor dinner on board before returning to your hotel *Guided tour of the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe may take place on Day 3 depending on arrival time.

DAY 5 – Sunset Safari Cruise in Chobe National Park
Travel to Chobe National Park in Botswana, arriving in time for lunch. Settle into your new surroundings and get ready for this afternoon adventure. Board a motorized boat for your sunset safari cruise where you will glide through the water searching for hippos, buffalo, antelope and more. Return to the lodge in time for dinner.

DAY 6 – Morning Afternoon Game Drives in Chobe National Park
Set out on a game drive early in the morning. Navigate in open safari vehicles in search of lions, warthogs, buffalo, giraffe and more. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before this afternoon game drive. You can watch the wildlife from up-close including a variety of birds, as Chobe is one of Africa premier venues for bird watching. This evening, dine al fresco in the lodge restaurant.

DAY 7 – Safari Cruise in the Okavango Delta
Transfer to the airport in Kasane to board a light aircraft flight (4 or 5 seat plane) to the lush, Okavango Delta, a unique wildlife location. A World Heritage Site, the Okavango is a vast and virtually untouched freshwater wetland at the heart of Botswana arid Kalahari Desert with an abundance of wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. On the afternoon safari cruise, lookout for ostriches, antelope, wildebeests along with hippos and crocodiles along the water edge, as well as hundreds of bird species. Return in time for dinner at your camp

DAY 8 – Safari Activities in the Okavango Delta
Game activities in the morning and afternoon include leisurely cruises in local mokoros (canoes) or motorized boats, guided nature walks along the river and fishing expeditions. DA9- Fly to Cape Town
Following breakfast at the lodge, board a light aircraft flight (4 or 5 seat plane) to Maun where you will board your flight to Cape Town. As you transfer to your hotel, you’ll see the towering symbol of the city – Table Mountain. The rest of the evening is at leisure.

DAY 10 – Cape Town City Tour Cape Malay Experience Tour
Today, explore the city of Cape Town. The highlight is an ascent to the top of Table Mountain. Travel by aerial cable car* (weather permitting) and see the panoramic views of the city and beaches. After descending from the plateau, visit the Milnerton Lighthouse before continuing on to the prominent Shimansky Jewelers for a tour. Savor a home-cooked lunch at the home of your gracious host family, a highlight of the tour. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Cape Town on your own.
*Table Mountain Aerial Cableway closes for annual maintenance in July & August. Exact dates will be advised in early 2024.

DAY 11 – Excursion to the Cape Winelands
Drive through South Africa fertile valleys along the principal wine route to Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch with tastings at some of the vineyards along the way. In Franschhoek board the hop-on-hop-off tram to experience the Franschhoek Valley, stopping in at some of South Africa wine estates. After lunch, on to another wine tasting. Lastly, travel to Stellenbosch, with its Cape Dutch architecture, before returning to Cape Town. Evening is at leisure.

DAY 12 – Cape Peninsula Tour
Depart on a half day Cape Peninsula Tour. After a stop at the fishing village of Hout Bay, continue to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you may see baboons by the roadside, rheboks, cape mountain zebras, bonteboks, and the elusive eland. Following the coastline along False Bay, return to Cape Town by way of Simon Town. Here, visit the penguin colonies at Boulders Beach, and continue with a scenic drive over Muizenberg Mountain. Tonight, bid farewell to your Tour Manager at dinner.

DAY 13, Friday – Depart South Africa
After Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
